Some insurance plans require a referral from your primary care provider, and many do not. If you are unsure, contact our office and we will help you check your specific plan.
You may benefit from a neurology evaluation if you are experiencing:
- Frequent or severe headaches

- Memory loss or confusion
- Numbness or tingling
- Weakness
- Seizures
- Tremors or movement changes
If your symptoms are affecting your daily life, work, or safety, it is reasonable to schedule an evaluation.
If you have signs of stroke — such as face drooping, arm weakness, or trouble speaking — call 911 immediately.
For urgent but non-emergency concerns, contact our office. We make every effort to see patients promptly when symptoms are concerning.
Your first visit typically lasts 40 to 60 minutes. During this time:
We listen carefully to your story
Review prior records and imaging
Perform a focused neurologic exam
Explain what may be causing your symptoms
Create a clear, written treatment plan
You will leave understanding your next steps.
Please bring:
Photo ID
Insurance card
A current medication list
Recent test results or imaging reports (if available)
A family member or caregiver is welcome to attend with you.
We only order tests when they are likely to change care. Depending on your condition, testing may include:
MRI or CT imaging
EEG (for seizures)
Blood work
Nerve testing
We explain why each test is recommended before it is scheduled.
Treatment plans may include:
Medication management
Migraine prevention strategies
Physical therapy referrals
Targeted injections when appropriate
Risk factor management for stroke prevention

Follow-up frequency depends on your diagnosis and goals. Some conditions require close monitoring, while others need only periodic visits. We tailor your follow-up schedule to your needs.

We work with most major insurance plans. Before your visit, our team reviews expected costs and explains copays or deductibles so there are no surprises.
